The Gold in the Ground
This is a story about a Farmer and a Shepherd who found a Pot of Gold.
You would think that finding a pot of gold is a great fortune and that maybe people would even start fighting over it. But, though the farmer and the shepherd are poor, they don’t want the gold — they already have everything they need.
The story of The Gold in the Ground is about what to do with a pot of gold that nobody wants.
It turns out that when you are satisfied with what you have, and when you have compassion for others less fortunate than yourself, the world can be a beautiful place.
SYNOPSIS:
Once upon a time, there was a farmer and a shepherd. They were very poor, but they worked hard, and life was good. One day, they found a pot of gold.

The farmer had a daughter and the shepherd had a son who loved each other as the bee loves the flower. They didn’t want the gold either.
So the Farmer and Shepherd went to the Wise Man to ask for advice.

A young student had an excellent idea, so they all waved him on his way.

The young student encountered a caravan full of caged birds crying out for their freedom.

A Great White Bird alighted beside the sleeping student and sang him a song.
When the young student opened his eyes, he saw an astonishing sight!
